Shrunk to 1600px on the long edge and saved as WebP right here in the browser before anything leaves your machine. Files on your computer are untouched. SVG and GIF go up as they are.

Compress existing images

Walks everything already sitting in lecture-images, redraws each one smaller in this browser, and writes it back to the same path — so URLs already pasted into question records keep working. Anything that will not get smaller is left alone, and you can stop and re-run any time. Preview shows you every before/after number without writing anything; Compress replaces the bucket copy, which is the only copy, and cannot be undone.
